Sex Toys, Anyone?

I hit the local Adam and Eve store last night to get some things for my friend's Bachelorette party tonight.  Here are some things that caught my eye.

It's funny, as I was taking the picture of the Sweeten'd Blow I was approached by one of the store employees.  I thought for sure she was going to reprimand me for taking pictures but instead I got a demo of a $124 "couples" vibrator.

Meme the Midget Love Doll is my favorite.  This may need to be purchased at some point just because.

And the dirty sanchez blow up doll is so wonderfully skeevy.  The selling point on the package was "And he doesn't snore!"  Too funny!  It actually reminds me of Dudley Moore's character, Stanley Tibbits, in Foul Play.  It totally looks like one of the blow-up dolls that he had!

Yuck!

I can't tell if the gold chains are apart of the shirt.  It'd be genius if they are!

*And* I have an inflatable tongue!  Found this beaut in the grocery store.  Why is it reminiscent of a sex toy and why is it sold in a grocery store of all places?  Because someone like me will gladly pay $3.49 for the absurd.  Duh!

Smack Down in 6, 5, 4...

In an effort to get my ass in shape I started walking in the mornings again.  I will point out the obvious and say that walking in the winter at 5 in the morning is way different than walking at that hour during the Summer months, which is when I last did my walking regimen.

I've also decided to do the two hundred sit-ups program.  It seems like a cool thing -- manageable, free and a good counterpart to walking.

For my initial test I did 18 sit-ups.    Anyone else up to the challenge?

I love this! Saw this today at the Rose Museum at Brandeis University. This picture doesn't do it justice --- it was so great in all its GINORMOUSNESS.

When All Else Fails

I love the 7-day prayer candles that are sold in my supermarket.    They're cheap (~$1.50), they've got wacky graphics, bold colors and they're right next to all the Goya products one could ever need.

You can also buy them on-line in case the patron saint and/or occasion you need to pray to is not available in the store.  Here are several that cracked me up.   The instructions for the Lucky Gambler prayer candle are pitiful: 

Burn a 7 Day Casino Jackpot Candle before gambling and repeat the following: "I am going to win; I am going to win BIG, give me good luck at every game I play and bring the winnings my way!"  For extra luck carry with you to the Casino a Southern John Conqueror Root in a Green Bag and anoint the root with Haitian Gambler's Oil.

But then I found this little gem.  Why get separate prayer candles when the Saint Bea candle could fix everything?

Oh and iTunes really does have a limit on how many times you can burn a CD containing purchased songs (it's 7).  Easy enough to circumnavigate but still annoying.

Bringing Up The Rear

I'm in a CD club.   There's thirteen of us, myself included.  We started the group back in January '09. Not everyone was able to distribute a CD for their assigned month (due to life and, in some cases, general lameness) but for those that delivered I have to say I was pretty impressed.   Second to seeing what selection of music someone chose, I totally dug taking in the overall presentation (how it was packaged, the title given, cover art, etc.).

Below are some of the CD's.  My favorite are the top two, especially the Jimmy Hoffa stencil on the mailer.

Now it's my turn.  I'm close to finishing the playlist and will post it here once it's done!
